Real writing is full of commas, full stops, question marks and quotation marks. This lesson brings them together.
The comma and full stop are on the bottom row, typed with the middle and ring fingers of the right hand. The question mark is Shift plus the slash key. The exclamation mark is Shift plus 1. The apostrophe and quotation marks are on the key next to the semicolon, and quotation marks need Shift. Brackets are Shift plus 9 and 0. The hyphen is next to the 0 key.
Watch for this: Stopping before a punctuation mark. Keep your rhythm and type the mark as part of the word.
Type the practice text above at 18 WPM or faster with 90% accuracy or better. When you reach it, the page tells you and the lessons page puts a tick next to this lesson. If you miss it, try again a little slower. A clean run beats a fast one.
