The home row has two more keys in the middle, G and H. Your index fingers type them with a small sideways reach.
The left index finger types both F and G. The right index finger types both J and H. Reach sideways for the new key and bring the finger straight back to its home key.
With the whole home row you can already type real words such as glad, flask and shall. Read the word before you type it, then type it without hurrying.
Watch for this: Do not let your hand slide sideways to reach G or H. If the hand moves, you will lose the home row.
